You may not give this album cover much importance, but for me, it was important back then. Blink-182 was already a big band, and this is not their most important or best album, but the fashionable photographs and graphic design elevated the band to a new level.
Soft songs, I know, but for us teenagers at that time, we looked at them and reinvented the way to dress up. No more trash t-shirts, chains hung from ripped jeans, or dirty Converse. I remembered this album booklet last week when I purchased an SL-72 B&W Adidas, and I thought about Tom DeLonge’s photo session for the album cover.
The message is that this is not only about music but also about how we behave out there, even following rock stars’ outfits.
